As a result of studying the discipline the student must know the basics of functioning of the considered information technologies and systems, be guided in their technical characteristics and be able to choose the optimal technology for data exchange or network organization.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The discipline "Telecommunication Technologies" is based on the knowledge and skills acquired by students in 1 - 4 courses of PR "Bachelor", after listening to the courses "Fundamentals of Telecommunication Technologies", "Physics", "Applied Theory of Digital Automata".
Course content
The subject of the discipline includes consideration of the main modern wireless telecommunication systems: cellular, satellite, Bluetooth and WiFi. The program discusses the details of building networks based on these systems and the technical characteristics of the equipment used. The issues of signal modulation and coding methods in systems are also considered.

Lectures, laboratory work, consultations, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: The study semester has two meaningful modules. Each module is evaluated up to a maximum of 15 points. The performance of each laboratory work is evaluated in 10 points. Work in the classroom is part of the corresponding module, answers "at the blackboard", homework is a component of the corresponding module. Written tests are conducted after the completion of the relevant topics. Instead of modular control works, individual tasks can be counted. Laboratory work is carried out after lectures and consists of three works: Setting up the satellite antenna and receiver. Modeling of the M-sequence generator and research of the correlation function of M-sequences. Decoding information messages encoded by Walsh functions. Final evaluation (in the form of an exam): The exam ticket consists of 1 theoretical question and 1 task. Each question and each task is evaluated from 0 to 20 points.
