Learning outcomes
Formation of students' system of knowledge, skills and abilities in wireless network technologies, necessary for solving the tasks of designing modern mobile communication systems and their main components, as well as preparing students to evaluate the technical and economic efficiency of existing and promising communication technologies.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The teaching of the academic discipline "Telecommunications Wireless Systems" involves students' successful mastering of the material of the academic disciplines: "Higher Mathematics", "General Physics", "Computer Technologies", "Discrete Mathematics", "Telecommunications Networks", "Telecommunications Software", " Computer networks".
Course content
Basic principles of building networks. Models of system description of network architecture. Basic principles of operation of wireless systems. Computing stacks and data management. Identification of objects. Models of wireless systems. Z-Wave, ZigBee, Bluetooth. IR-based wireless networks. 6LOWPAN, Thread, WI-FI. Long-range wireless networks. LORAWAN, SigFox, NB-IOT. Protocols for interaction with cloud technologies. Security of wireless networks. Security and protection in cellular networks. Security of satellite communications.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: defense of laboratory work and performance of independent tasks, in total - up to 60 points. Final evaluation in the form of an exam - up to 40 points.
