Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying the discipline "Ukrainian and foreign culture", it is necessary to obtain a full secondary education and possess elementary skills of critical interpretation of information about cultural processes and events.
Course content
1) Феномен національної культури. 2) Античність як тип культури. 3) Витоки української культури. 4) Культура європейського Середньовіччя. 5) Культура Середньовічної Русі. 6) Культура європейського Відродження. 7) Українська культура ХIV-XVI ст. 8) Культура Нового часу та доби Просвітництва. 9) Феномен бароко в українській культурі. 10) Західноєвропейська культура ХІХ століття. 11) Українська культура ХІХ століття. 12) Основні напрями розвитку української та європейської культури ХХ – початку ХХІ століть.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures - 30 hours, seminar lessons - 14 hours, independent work - 45 hours, consultations - 1 hour, total - 90 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: oral report and discussions (up to 40 points), individual creative work (up to 20 points), presentation of creative research (up to 20 points), final creative work (up to 20 points). The maximum semester score is limited to 60 points. Final control in the form of credit - up to 40 points.
