Learning outcomes
Acquaintance of students with the main fundamental provisions of theoretical ecology, the principles of the functioning of ecological systems, the peculiarities of the interrelationships of the biosphere and the technosphere, with global and regional environmental problems, with problems of resource-ecological-economic direction.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) Know: the main life forms of organisms. 2) Be able to: analyze and interpret research results. 3) Have basic skills in working with reference literature and presenting information. 4) To know the Ukrainian language at a basic level.
Course content
1) Basic concepts of the system approach in ecology. 2) Population ecology. 3) Peculiarities of ecological research at the autecological and demecological levels. 4) Synecology. 5) Successions and their role in global ecological processes. 6) Ecology of the atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere. 7) Environmental monitoring as a way of monitoring the state of the environment.

Lectures - 28 hrs, independent work - 31 hrs, consultations - 1 hrs, total - 60rs.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester evaluation of the achievement of all planned learning outcomes is determined by the results of: performance of current and modular control tasks, express surveys, performance of oral reports, participation in discussions and performance of independent work tasks. The maximum score for the semester evaluation is 60 points. Final control in the form of credit - up to 40 points.
