Learning outcomes
As a result of studying the discipline, the student must learn to search and systematize scientific literature (including English-language) on the chosen subject in the field of quantum radiophysics. Learn to prepare reports, presentations and take their public discussion and defense; to learn how to lead a discussion and oppose.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline "Quantum radio physics seminar" is based on the knowledge and skills acquired by students in the 1st - 4th courses of the "Bachelor's" OR, after listening to the educational courses "Differential equations and probability theory", "Molecular physics", "Optics". "Quantum mechanics", "Atomic physics", "Oscillations and waves", "Foreign language"
Course content
The subject of the educational discipline involves consideration of: elements of quantum optics, laser physics and interaction of radiation with media, nonlinear optics and spectroscopy, physics of ultracold atoms, laser control of quantum systems with many degrees of freedom, physics of semiconductor heterostructures and materials (quantum dots, quantum walls), development element base for new generation photonics and light-emitting devices (OLED). During the course of study, students make a review of scientific literature on topics selected from the provided list or on a free topic agreed with the teacher, and prepare a relevant thematic scientific report at the seminar.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Seminars in the amount of 21 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: control is carried out according to the following principle. The student's report in the academic group on topics 1-5 (written) - 30 points. A student's report in an academic group on topics 6-10 (written) – 30 points. Final evaluation (in the form of test): the form of test is written and oral. In total, it is possible to get from 0 to 20 points for the test. A condition for achieving a positive grade for a discipline is to obtain at least 60 points, while the grade for test cannot be less than 14 points. Conditions for admission to the final credit: the condition for admission to the credit is that the student receives a total of no less than the critical-calculated minimum for the semester - 46 points.
