Learning outcomes
The student must know safety techniques when conducting experimental studies; rules of operation of laboratory equipment; subject of research of separate sections of physics, basic phenomena; basic laws and principles of separate sections of physics. Their mathematical formulation and physical content; possible difficulties during implementation experimental studies and methods of their elimination. The student must be able to predict the result of the experiment. evaluate the reliability of the obtained result; prepare devices for work and work with them; process, analyze and present the obtained results; evaluate the accuracy of the obtained results, calculate measurement errors; make and formulate conclusions.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student should know: basic definitions, laws, equations and relationships of physics within the framework of the high school curriculum, The student must be able to: present experimental data in the form of tables and graphs, calculate measurement errors, use the apparatus of elementary mathematics, and also be familiar with the basic elements of higher mathematics (differentiation, integration). The student must possess: elementary skills of working with measuring devices, searching and analyzing tabular data, working with software for data processing, working in a group.
Course content
"Experimental Physics Laboratory" covers all sections of general physics and is taught consecutively in several semesters for junior years. Classes in this discipline are held in parallel with the general physics course, which consists of lectures and practical classes. Form carrying out - laboratory work. Thus, the discipline complements and expands the lecture material, making it possible to more successfully learn new knowledge. A feature of work in a physical workshop is the absence of such a large number of laboratory ones installations that would ensure the simultaneous performance of the same work by all students of the same laboratory group. Therefore, works are assigned by the teacher in a random order. At the same time, the topics of some of them may precede the lecture material. This involves students performing some independent work on finding and studying relevant material. Descriptions of laboratory works contain concise theoretical information sufficient to perform the work. But to successfully defend the report it is necessary to familiarize yourself with some theoretical issues.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, consultations; laboratory work; independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Evaluation continues throughout the semester based on the results of the performance and defense of individual laboratory works. To defend the laboratory work, the student must submit a written report on the performance of the corresponding work, which must contain the title of the work; its purpose and tasks; brief theoretical information on the topic of the work; experimental and calculation data, presented in the form of tables, graphs, individual calculations; conclusions regarding the results of the work, the patterns found and the measurement method.
