Prerequisites and co-requisites
Scientific and industrial practice is a mandatory component of the educational program, which finalizes the student's studies and provides for his prior mastery of the full volume of mandatory components and one of the blocks of the educational program's choice.
Course content
Scientific and industrial practice involves familiarization with the organization of work in a research institute or in the development department (design bureau) of an enterprise-base of practice, presenting students with the opportunity to study modern material and technical equipment, mastering the skills of working with it and methods of modern experimental research and computer modeling of real devices and systems.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The methodical management of the practice relies on the graduate departments: medical radiophysics. Bases of practice can be enterprises and organizations of various forms of ownership and types economic activity, organizational and legal status, which are legal entities and operate on the market for at least one year and carry out production, production-trade, intermediary and other types of activities. Students can offer the department a place of practice. Students draw up a practice report on the basis of practice. Completed materials are submitted for review and approval to the head of practice from the educational institution. The practical report defended by the student is kept at the Department of Quantum Radiophysics and Nanoelectronics
Assessment methods and criteria
Report based on practice materials, additional questions after the report, feedback from the manager from the practice base.
The results of scientific and industrial practice are tallied when the student prepares a differentiated assessment. A point rating system for evaluating students' knowledge on a 100-point national scale is used to evaluate the completion of scientific and industrial practice.
