Learning outcomes
The student must know safety techniques when conducting experimental research; rules of operation of laboratory equipment; subject of research of separate sections of physics, basic phenomena; basic laws and principles of separate sections of physics. Their mathematical formulation and physical content; possible difficulties during implementation experimental studies; methods of their elimination. The student must be able to predict the result of the experiment; evaluate the reliability of the obtained result; prepare devices for work and work with them; process, analyze and present the obtained results; evaluate the accuracy of the obtained results, calculate measurement errors; make and formulate conclusions.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The student should know: basic definitions, laws, equations and relationships of physics within the framework of the high school curriculum. The student should be able to: present experimental data in the form of tables and graphs, calculate measurement errors, use the apparatus of elementary mathematics, and also be familiar with the basic elements of higher mathematics (differentiation, integration). The student must possess: elementary skills of working with measuring devices, searching and analyzing tabular data, working with software for data processing, working in a group.
Course content
"Experimental Physics Laboratory" covers all sections of general physics and is taught consecutively in several semesters for junior years. Classes in this discipline are held in parallel with the general physics course, which consists of lectures and practical classes. The form of conduct is laboratory work. Thus, the discipline complements and expands the lecture material, making it possible to more successfully learn new knowledge. The peculiarity of work in a physical workshop is the absence of such a number of laboratory installations that would ensure the simultaneous performance of the same work by all students of one laboratory group. Therefore, works are assigned by the teacher in a random order. At the same time, the topics of some of them may precede the lecture material. This involves students performing some independent work on finding and studying relevant material. Descriptions of laboratory works contain concise theoretical information sufficient to perform work. But in order to successfully defend the report, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with some theoretical issues. As a result of studying the discipline "Experimental Physics Laboratory", the student will receive training sufficient for further study under the educational program "Electronics and Information Technologies in Medicine", will acquire the skills of independent study of the necessary educational and scientific literature, get acquainted with the work of the physical laboratory and learn the methods of conducting physical research.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Laboratory work, consultations, independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: during the semester, 8 laboratory works are scheduled, each of which is evaluated according to a 12-point system. The evaluation takes into account the quality of the work, the preparation of the report and its subsequent protection, and the answers to control questions The final assessment is in the form of a credit. receiving a positive grade during the assessment is possible on the condition that during the semester all the laboratory works provided for in the program, preparation and defense of reports based on their results, and obtaining a total number of points scored of at least 60.
