Learning outcomes
Students' achievement of such competencies, skills and abilities as: knowledge of the main theoretical, law enforcement and legislative aspects of criminal law policy of Ukraine. Skills: to use the acquired knowledge to formulate their own theoretical conclusions, offers for improving law enforcement and theoretical spheres of criminal law policy. Communication: to participate in professional discussions on criminal law issues. Autonomy and responsibility: to study independently the problems of criminal law policy.

Course content
The course “Current problems of criminal law policy” informs students with the main theoretical, law enforcement and legislative issues of modern criminal law policy of Ukraine.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching strategies: 1) lecture - a detailed theoretical report on the problems of criminal law policy; 2) discussion - a theoretical debate towards problems specific to the theoretical, law enforcement and legislative spheres of criminal law policy; 3) independent work – including the list of recommendegd reading.
Assessment methods and criteria
The final score includes the sum of points obtained during the semester assessment (up to 40 points) and points obtained for the final test (up to 60 points). Assessment based on the results of the semester consists of assessments including the results of seminars, written tests and reports.
