Achievement of such competencies as knowledge of legislation and doctrines of transport law; ability to apply the rules of substantive and procedural law governing transport relations to solving practical situations; ability to determine facts appropriate and acceptable for legal analysis, analyse legal problems and form legal positions, apply legal reasoning; ability to solve complex problems in the field of lawmaking and law enforcement, skills of logical, critical and systematic analysis of documents, understanding of their legal nature and significance; advising on possible ways of protection of transport entities’ rights and interests.

External form

Know the rules of the Economic Code of Ukraine, the Civil Code of Ukraine, general legislation governing transport activities; clarifications of higher courts, case law on transport disputes resolution. Be able to consolidate and deepen the knowledge gained during lectures by means of independent study of the legislation and sources of special literature, as well as supplementary literature on relevant topics of the course; apply the knowledge acquired in other disciplines, in particular, civil and economic law; use information and analytical resources of the Internet; perform self-study tasks, solve problems.

The course provides students with the scientific, theoretical and practical analysis of the legislation regulating the relations in the field of the transport system of Ukraine. The course is aimed at mastering theoretical knowledge on transport law (doctrinal definition of the subject and methods of transport law, scientific approaches to defining transport activities and criteria for its classification, problems of transport legislation systematization, state regulation of transport, specifics of legal regulation of certain transport activities).

Types of formative assessment are chosen by the teacher who conducts practical lessons in compliance with the course syllabus. At the end of the course, students take a credit.
