Learning outcomes
Achievement of such competencies, skills and abilities as: to substantiate the essence of the constitution as the basis of the national legal system; to appreciate, produce and demonstrate the results of research on the main directions of overcoming legal problems in the field of application of the constitution as a political and ideological document, be able to use legal terminology. To substantiate the normative and factual basis of the legal problem of frequent amendments to the constitution in Ukraine and in other countries. Analyze, critically comprehend the concept of implementation of the constitution, observance, implementation, use and application of the constitution during consultative activities; Legal mechanism of interpretation of the Constitution of Ukraine as a necessary means of its effective implementation and implementation of the basic principles of constitutionalism in positive law.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Knowledge and understanding of basic legal concepts and categories obtained as a result of studying disciplines "Theory of State and Law", "History of State and Law", "Constitutional Law", "International Law", "Administrative Law"; the theoretical foundations of constitutional capacity and constitutional tort, the concept and types of subjects of constitutional law; their legal status. Possession of skills on drafting legal acts, considering the peculiarities of the practical situation and using legal methods to resolve disputes arising in the process of ensuring the rule of the constitution.
Course content
The discipline integrates knowledge of the content of constitutionalism, political and legal nature of the constitution, its specific features, features of adoption, validity, amendments to the constitution, mechanism of its implementation, awareness of the diversity of approaches to understanding the nature of the constitution, its subject, functions and features. Topics in the structure of the discipline are aimed at comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of the doctrine of constitutionalism, the essence of the constitution, its properties, the specifics of constitutional regulation of social relations, the mechanism of implementation of constitutional norms.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Methods: lecture with elements of discussion (students are offered to prepare for the lecture wion certain material for the lecture) and critical analysis of current legislation; resolution of constitutional cases; writing essays by students on problematic issues of implementation of constitutional provisions, the essence of the constitution, its legal properties.
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of current control are selected by the teacher who conducts seminars, in consultation with the lecturer and in accordance with the program of the discipline. Assessment methods are communicated to applicants before beginning of the study of the discipline by a teacher who conducts seminars. Types of current control can be: express survey, colloquium, report, scientific work, testing (from the set of judgments to choose the right), modular tests. During ongoing performance evaluation and final evaluation such aspects should be considered: the level of "Knowledge", "Understanding", "Application", "Analysis" / "Synthesis" / "Evaluation".
