Learning outcomes
Achievement of such competencies, skills and abilities as: ability to apply theoretical knowledge and provisions of current legislation on: election commissions as bodies of administration of national and local elections as subjects of power, their system and hierarchy, organization and basic principles of independence , impartiality, openness, professionalism, collegiality); skills of arguing legal positions on the procedure for organizing the activities of election commissions and forming their composition, ensuring the rule of law and legality in the exercise of the powers of election commissions; skills of reasoned professional written speech with the use of election law terminology in the part related to certain topics of the discipline; skills of proposals formation for improving the current legislation on the legal support of the organization and activities of election administration bodies

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Understand and know the constitutional and legal requirements for elections as the main form of direct democracy, constitutional principles of organization and conduct of elections, the main types of electoral systems used in national and local elections in Ukraine, the basics of legal regulation of organizational and functional principles of organization and conduct of elections in Ukraine; have the skills of systematic analysis and application of legal norms to specific life situations, as well as consistent argumentation and defense of a particular legal position.
Course content
The discipline acquaints students with the system and hierarchy of election commissions, such as bodies administering national and local elections in Ukraine, the basic principles of organization of their activities and their features for commissions operating temporarily and permanently, models of formation of election administration bodies, powers of election commissions. organizing and conducting elections of the President of Ukraine, elections of people's deputies of Ukraine and local elections (elections of village, settlement, city mayors, elections of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the ARC, regional, district, district in the city, town and village councils). While studying the discipline students gain knowledge about the features and procedure of formation and activities of election administration bodies, basic principles of their office work, problems of legal status of these administrative bodies depending on the type of elections, and possible ways to overcome them.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and seminary activities - with the introduction of interactive teaching methods (brainstorming, case studies, discussions and others). Solving situational problems is planned;preparation of certain types of election documentation; writing essays by students on problematic issues of election legislation in the relevant part
Assessment methods and criteria
Ongoing and final performance evaluation is applied. Assessment methods - the type of work / activity of the applicant, which will assess the level of achievement of learning outcomes (testing, creative tasks, individual work, independent work, etc. and the minimum threshold after which a positive assessment is credited) - and evaluation criteria are communicated to applicants before beginning of the study of the discipline by a teacher who conducts seminars. At the ongoing and final performance evaluation are subject to assessment: the level of "Knowledge", "Understanding", "Application", "Analysis" / "Synthesis" / "Evaluation", demonstrated by the applicant. The maximum total number of points the applicant can score in the ongoing performance evaluation - 40, in the exam - 60. The final score for the discipline is set on a 100-point scale (ECTS) and a national scale.
