Learning outcomes
Aimed at achieving of such competencies, skills and abilities as: ability to analyze the types of constitutional systems and their legal bases; outline the powers of public authorities, local governments in Ukraine and foreign countries; determine the features of the sources of constitutional law; acquire skills of substantiation of peculiarities of development of constitutional and legal regulation in Ukraine and foreign countries; determine the features of the sources of constitutional law; acquire skills of substantiation of peculiarities of development of constitutional and legal regulation in Ukraine and foreign countries; skills to apply theoretical knowledge in research and pedagogical activity; analyze sources of constitutional law which associated with the emergence, change and termination of constitutional and legal relations.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Understand the nature and content of scientific and normative approaches to the main types of constitutional systems; analyze and summarize the institutional components of the constitutional systems of the world; have logical and analytical skills of analysis of legal phenomena, search for possible ways to overcome and avoid legal issues
Course content
Within the framework of the discipline the issues of concept, essence and classification of constitutional systems of the world are researched. Modern approaches to understanding the concept and structure of the state are considered, features of the concept, content of constitutional and legal regulation, legal status of a man and a citizen, the importance of the constitution in the legal system and prospects for constitutional and legal regulation in Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the study of the constitutional and legal foundations of the organization of state authority and local self-government in Ukraine and abroad, identification of problems and analysis of ways to improve the legislation on the constitutional and legal status of public authorities and local governments around the world.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures and seminary activities - with the introduction of interactive teaching methods (brainstorming, case studies, discussions, microphone, aquarium, etc.) It is planned to perform individual tasks, work in small groups. Preparation of reports and abstracts by applicants is planned.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods - the type of work / activity of the applicant, which will assess the level of achievement of learning outcomes (testing, creative tasks, individual work, independent work, etc. and the minimum threshold after which a positive assessment is credited) - and evaluation criteria are communicated to applicants before beginning of the study of the discipline by a teacher who conducts seminars. At the ongoing and final performance evaluation are subject to assessment: the level of "Knowledge", "Understanding", "Application", "Analysis" / "Synthesis" / "Evaluation", demonstrated by the applicant. The maximum total number of points the applicant can score in the ongoing performance evaluation - 40, in the exam - 60. The final score for the discipline is set on a 100-point scale (ECTS) and a national scale.
