Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes include the following knowledge and skills:
to know the main legal categories of international environmental law and problems of their application, the system of international environmental law, sources of international environmental law, the ratio of international and national environmental law and the problems of organizational, functional and regulatory support for their harmonious application; to know current theoretical doctrinal and practical problems of international environmental law and international legal mechanisms for effective protection of environmental human rights;
to demonstrate abstract thinking, analysis, synthesis of scientific and legal information on the formation, development and effectiveness of international environmental law; forecast the shortcomings of the implementation of international environmental law, given the peculiarities of their content and application.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for mastering the discipline are:
to know the basics of the theory of law, have the competencies acquired in the process of studying constitutional, administrative, international public, environmental, civil procedure, civil law;
to be able to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge on the interpretation, functioning and implementation of international norms at the national level; individually solve practical tasks related to the protection of environmental human rights;
to have the skills of synthesis, analysis, generalization and interpretation of law.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at studying: theoretical and legal foundations of the formation and definition of international environmental law; principles and sources of international environmental law; the institutional mechanism of international environmental law; international legal ways to protect environmental human rights in the system of international law; problems of international legal liability for the transboundary environmental damage; Ukraine's participation in international cooperation in the field of environmental protection and ensuring international environmental security; international legal regulation of the use of natural resources and objects; international legal protection of natural objects and the environment; features of the international and legal enforcement of environmental security.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Considering the content of educational material and learning objectives, the following traditional and innovative learning technologies are used in the process of teaching the discipline:
- lectures aimed at the study of scientific and legal principles of the legal regulation of environmental relations at the international legal level and the practice of its application in Ukraine with the use of presentation materials;
- seminars that provide the formation of students' practical skills and abilities to independently solve practical problems that arise in the process of implementing the norms of international environmental agreements to which Ukraine is a party, and protection of environmental rights of Ukrainian citizens by international law (by preparing theoretical issues, discussions, comparative analysis of norms of international and national environmental legislation, etc.
Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment methods and criteria are chosen by the teacher who conducts seminars, within the number of points provided by the curriculum.The semester assessment is carried out within the following limits: oral questioning from 2 to 4 points; a participation in the discussion – from 2 to 4 points; a report from 4 to 6 points; a scientific work from 6 to 10 points; testing (from the set of statements to choose the right ones) from 4 to 6 points; two modal tests from 3 to 5 points (total – from 6 to 10 points).
The minimum score to be obtained by a student for the appropriate forms of the assessment is 24 points per semester, and the maximum number of points – 40 points. The maximum final score can be 100 points.
