Learning outcomes
Know basic concepts, categories and institutions of labor law in terms of international legal regulation and in some countries with developed market economies. Know the provisions of labor legislation of Ukraine at the expert level, the main acts of the European Union on labor relations regulation. Know the case law of the European Court of Human Rights on the application of international labor law. To be able to compare the norms of national labor legislation, international legal acts, labor acts of foreign countries, to provide sound conclusions on their application and improvement of Ukrainian legislation. Be able to provide legal advice on the legal regulation of labor in Ukraine by international labor law, competently and accurately formulate and express own views, properly justify them, participate in a reasoned professional discussion.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know basic legal institutions and categories of labor law, labor legislation and compliance by personnel departments of enterprises, institutions, organizations, courts and other government agencies. Be able to interpret and apply the rules of labor law, assess and determine the similarities and differences of similar legal categories (eg, contracts) in different fields of law, understand the cases and features of different legal remedies in various life situations. Have the skills to prepare drafts of basic law enforcement acts, such as contracts, orders, acts, orders, etc.
Course content
Application of the comparative method in labor law. Labor law in historical retrospective and in the modern world. Assessment of sources of labor law: international standards, foreign experience. Basic labor rights. Ideology of modern labor law. Professional training. Employment contract in the light of international standards and foreign experience. Legal regulation of labor discipline in foreign countries. Pay. Working hours and rest time. Legal regulation of labor of women, youth, people with disabilities: international legal standards and foreign experience. International labor protection standards and the creation of a comfortable working environment. Legal status of trade unions, employers' organizations. Participation of workers and trade unions in production management. Legal regulation of collective negotiation and collective agreements. Labor disputes: international legal standards and foreign experience.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at students mastering the basic concepts, categories and institutions of international and comparative labor law, developing their ability to work independently with primary sources and special legal literature on foreign labor law and international legal acts of the ILO, producing scientifically sound proposals to improve the legal regulation of employees based on the study of foreign experience, as well as the formation of skills to protect labor rights in various jurisdictions. The main forms (and / or methods and techniques) of teaching and learning of this discipline are: lectures, seminars, work in a law clinic, self-study.
Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum final grade for this discipline can be 100 points. Semester forms of assessment: express surveys, reports and research papers, four modular tests, intermediate control (final test). The minimum score to be obtained by students in the relevant forms of assessment is 24 points.
The student can get a maximum of 60 points for the exam, to which the points obtained by the student during seminars are added. To obtain an overall positive grade for the discipline, the grade for the exam paper may not be less than 36 points.
