Learning outcomes
1. Know the development of a scientific thought on the formation of Pension Law as a sub-branch of social security law; legal issues of reforming pension legislation and adapting national legislation to the EU legislation in the field of pension protection. 2. Be able to navigate in the system of legislation in the field of pension protection, to think critically in the direction of improving the current legislation, to analyze judicial practice. 3. Possess the knowledge necessary to do tests, study scientific sources, perform other types of independent work.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
For s successful course completion, students need to have knowledge of general theory of law, logic, constitutional, financial, labor, administrative, criminal law, social security law and other areas of law.
Course content
Teaching this discipline is aimed at developing students' deep theoretical knowledge and practical skills on the legal nature of Pension Law, methods, principles and sources in Pension Law, the Pension Law system, the concept of pension relations, features of the pension system, voluntary participation in mandatory pension insurance, personalized accounting of information in the system of compulsory pension insurance, pension contributions, length of service, procedure for calculating length of service, characteristics of types of pensions, conditions of appointment, procedure for calculation, obligations of the parties, grounds for revision and termination of payment: superannuation, old-age pensions on preferential terms, disability pensions, survivors' pensions, the concept of the second level (accumulative) compulsory state pension provision, the concept of non-state pension provision, international experience.

Assessment methods and criteria
The maximum final grade for this discipline can be 100 points. The student can receive a maximum of 60 points at the credit, to which the points obtained by the student during seminars are added.
