Learning outcomes
Tasks of studying the discipline are aimed at forming the following competencies in students: to assess the nature and nature of social processes and phenomena, and to show understanding of the boundaries and mechanisms of their legal regulation; to correlate the modern system of civilizational values with legal values, principles and professional ethical standards; analyze and evaluate the practice of applying certain legal institutions in the field of information law; to take a productive part in the implementation of theoretical and applied research in the field of information law.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites for mastering the discipline: Know the concepts, features and basic criteria for classifying information by access mode. Know the structure and place of the institute of legal regimes of information circulation in the system of information law of Ukraine. Be able to determine the general features of certain types of information of open and restricted access, procedures for its accumulation, storage, processing and protection by subjects of information activities. Have basic skills in the implementation of basic procedures for reviewing and resolving disputes in the field of circulation and use of information.
Course content
The discipline "Legal Regimes of Information Circulation in Ukraine" is part of the cycle of professional training of specialists at educational qualification level "Master" in "Law" at the Education and Research Law School of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The study of the discipline reveals the following issues: 1) characteristics of legal regimes of information; concepts, types and features of certain legal regimes of public information; 2) the mechanism of legal provision of access to public information and directions of improvement; 3) the legal regime of state and official secrets; 4) legal regime of professional secrecy, personal data, banking and trade secrets. New knowledge will be acquired on the legal consequences of violating the statutory regimes of access to information, as well as research on the practice of ensuring compliance with the rights of participants in information relations in establishing different legal regimes of information.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The study of the discipline involves lectures and practical classes; express survey/testing/essay (abstract) on the proposed topic; modular test work; self-study in preparation for seminars; credit (exam).
Assessment methods and criteria
Types of ongoing performance evaluation can include: express survey, report, scientific work, multiple testing (from the set of judgments to choose the right ones), case solving (tasks), module test (final test). Things to be assessed in the process of ongoing performance evaluation at the seminars are: the level of knowledge demonstrated by the student during seminars, the level of activity in discussing the issues of the seminar, regular work in the classroom, self-study and individual assignments results. The discipline is taught in one semester. 10 days before the beginning of the session, the teacher who runs the seminars no longer accepts missing assignments. Students who have not scored the minimum threshold level of assessment are given a final test.
