Learning outcomes
Know the patterns of the mechanism of the crime, the emergence of information about the crime and its participants, patterns of collection, research and use of evidence.
Know forensic techniques, forensic tactics, investigation methods of certain types of crimes.
Be able to determine the admissibility of tactical techniques during carrying out particular investigative (search) actions, the circle who are involved in them, methods of recording the results of investigative (search) actions.
Be able to use tactical techniques of making contact with participants of the process process during the investigative (search) actions.
Have tactics to overcome counter investigation / forecast counter-tactics.
Use foreign sources for increasing the level of professional training in the area of special knowledge application, necessary for the investigation of crimes.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the general provisions of criminal law (criminal law characteristics of the crime); principles of criminal procedure, concepts and types of evidence, investigation, types of expertise; procedural regulation of investigative
(search) actions, types of covert investigative (search) actions.
2. Be able to use general scientific methods to determine the investigative situation, argue soundly the construction of versions and determine the sequence of investigative (search) actions.
3. Possess basic skills of drawing up the protocol of inspection of a scene,
interrogation, search, motion for forensic examination, plan of crime investigation.
Course content
Forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at students' mastering knowledge of general theory
forensics, forensic categories, system of criminalistics, methods of criminalistics (identification, diagnostics), the theory of forensic forecasting, temporal relationships and causality.
Within the framework of the discipline conceptual provisions of forensic techniques (trasology, ballistics, forensic research of documents, forensic study of writing, etc.), forensic tactics of conduct of certain types of investigative (search) actions, as well as methods of certain types of crimes investigation are studied.
The course of the academic discipline also involves in-depth study of legislation of Ukraine governing the commission and conduct of forensic examinations.

11. abstract (substantive written work on a given topic with an analysis of the literature and conclusions) - up to 6 points;
