Learning outcomes
Know the special concepts, categories and terminology of employment law. To know the acts of labor legislation of Ukraine regulating relevant relations that are the subject of labor law, as well as international legal acts in the employment area. Be able to apply the knowledge of labor law institutions in law enforcement in modeling the development and resolution of legal situations. Be able to competently and accurately formulate and express their positions, properly justify them, participate in reasoned professional discussion. Make and justify decisions on the preparation of draft legal acts (agreements, orders, rules, etc.). Participate in consulting on legal issues, in particular, possible ways to protect the rights and interests of clients, in accordance with the requirements of professional ethics, proper compliance with the rules on non-disclosure of personal data and confidential information.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know the basic legal categories such as legal facts, transactions, contracts, obligations, the theory of legal responsibility, the competence of public authorities, etc. Be able to assess and determine the similarities and differences of similar legal categories (eg, contracts) in different areas of law, to understand the cases and features of different legal remedies in different life situations. Have basic skills in preparing drafts of basic law enforcement acts, such as contracts, acts, orders, etc.

Subject, method and system of labor law. Ideological foundations of labor law. Sources of labor law. Subjects of labor law. Legal relations in labor law. Legal regulation of labor management. Collective negotiation regulation. State regulation of labor and control of compliance with labor legislation. Industrial democracy and its basic institutions. Employment and legal regulation of employment. Employment contract. Working hours. Rest time. Labor rationing. Pay. Conditions and labor protection. Legal aspects of assessing the professional level of employees and the results of their work. Discipline of work. Legal bases of employee management. Coercive measures of labor law, not related to legal liability. Disciplinary liability of employees. Liability of employees. Liability of the employer. Labor disputes (conflicts).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Forms of teaching and teaching methods of this discipline are aimed at mastering the basic concepts, categories and institutions of labor law, developing their ability to work independently with regulations of labor law, jurisprudence and their application to address specific legal situations in the operation of enterprises , institutions, organizations and individual entrepreneurs who use hired labor. The main forms (and / or methods and techniques) of teaching and learning of this discipline are: lectures, practical classes, work in a legal clinic, self-study.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester forms of assessment: 1. express survey; 2. reports; 3. four modular tests; 4. intermediate control (final control work). The minimum score to be obtained by a student on the appropriate forms of assessment is 24 points. The maximum score that can be obtained by a student per semester is 40 points. The envisaged forms of semester assessment cannot exceed 40 points in total (20 points for the first semester and 20 points for the second semester). - final assessment: written exam The maximum final grade for this discipline can be 100 points. A student can get a maximum of 60 points for the exam, to which are added the points obtained by the student during practical classes. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the exam paper may not be less than 36 points.
