1. to understand the specifics and features of the implementation of cultural ideas, images, and meanings, as well as to critically evaluate the possibilities of their interpretation to solve important problems for a society. 2. to analyze textual and visual sources of information about cultural phenomena and processes; to verify information according to professional objectives. 3. to analyze cultural rights and human freedoms, forms and mechanisms of their identification, inculturation, cultural adaptation, taking into account their regional specifics. 7. to evaluate historical achievements and the latest achievements in cultural studies. 12. to collect, analyze and evaluate empirical facts and interpret them in according to modern theoretical ideas of the relevant field of cultural studies. 13. to plan and carry out scientific and applied research in the field of cultural studies, to generate and test hypotheses, to collect evidence and argue conclusions.

Full-time form

1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and specifics of the national and world historical and cultural process; classical and modern cultural theories and methods of research, in particular philosophy of culture, cultural anthropology and sociology of culture; basic cultural concepts and categories. 2. To be able to find and interpret information about cultural phenomena, processes and events from the era of primitiveness to the era of postmodernity, to apply the terms and categories of cultural sciences in the analysis of socio-cultural phenomena and processes; 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude towards and forecasting of political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; the use of foreign language professional cultural sources.

The course "Problems of globalism of the modern world and Ukraine" belongs to the disciplines of free choice of the holders of the master's degree in the specialty 034 "Cultural Studies". It introduces students to the development of the globalization process in Ukraine and the world and to the history of its research in Ukrainian and foreign humanitarianism of the modern and postmodern eras. The subject, purpose, main tasks, methodological basis, theoretical guidelines, leading directions and issues of studying the globalization process are determined. The stages of the development of global studies as a direction of interdisciplinary research and scientific approaches to the study of globalization are clarified. The relationship of globalism to modern cultural sciences and its interpretation of such global problems as: global information revolution, innovation, ethnic, religious and other types of conflicts, the relationship between society and the individual, the Covid-19 pandemic, etc. are explained. Approaches to the analysis of modernization, multiculturalism and cultural universalization in domestic and world humanitarianism of the 20th - 21st centuries are studied. The study of the problem of the crisis and the future of culture by Ukrainian and foreign philosophers of culture and culturologists of the modern and postmodern eras is consistently highlighted.

Assessment of semester work: 1. Self-study (text summary): 12 / 20 points 2. Self-study - (research): 18 / 30 points 3. Self-study - (essay): 18 / 30 points The number of points during the training period is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning material from the entire training course. The overall assessment during the academic period consists of points obtained for three types of Self-study: a synopsis of primary texts, written research and essay writing. All these types of work for the semester have as a result: - in the maximum dimension of 80 points - a minimum of 48 points Final test in written form - 12 / 20 points The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures.
