To know: diversity of cultural and artistic achievements and values of art; the originality of artistic thinking and artistic logic; the relationship between the field of art theory and practice; the main philosophical and cultural theories of art. Be able to: perceive and analyse works of art; create their own idea of new cultural and artistic phenomena; conduct a debate on issues related to the history of art. Communication: use knowledge of foreign languages to analyse information resources; present the results of research. Autonomy and responsibility: search for and critically analyse literature on art history; solve complex problems related to the analysis of cultural phenomena.

Full-time form

Prior to studying this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; the main achievements of material and spiritual culture; the history of the formation and development of art, the peculiarities of functioning in the system of culture of a particular historical era. Be able to collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena, cultural processes and events; apply basic terms, categories and classifications of cultural studies in the analysis of socio-cultural phenomena and processes; explain the essence of the phenomenon of culture, its role in human life; identify current trends in the development of artistic and cultural phenomena. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting of cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language informative cultural sources.

Lecture, seminar, self-study

The total semester grade consists of the points obtained for 1) self-study, 2) control work. The semester grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material from all parts of the discipline. Assessment of semester work: 1. Self-study (written report) - 24 / 40 points 2. Control work - 12 / 20 points All types of work in the semester have - a maximum of 60 points - a minimum of 36 points Final assessment is in the form of an exam: Exam in written form - 24 / 40 points
