Learning outcomes
To know: basic terms and concepts related to expert and analytical activities in the field of culture; basic methods of analysing cultural and artistic phenomena, determining their genesis and features, understanding the role and place of one's own national culture in the broader European context; new methodological principles of research of modern socio-cultural practices, the importance of using computer methods of information processing and their further visualisation. To be able to: conduct an expert assessment of cultural values, cultural projects, research and educational activities; carry out project and analytical work. Communication: use knowledge of foreign languages to analyse information resources; present the results of research. Autonomy and responsibility: independently search for and critically process literature on socio-cultural studies; solve complex tasks related to the verification of the results of existing published socio-cultural research.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prior to taking this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; features of the development of artistic practice; basic cultural theories and methods of cultural research; basic cultural concepts and categories. Be able to: collect and interpret information about cultural phenomena and phenomena, Have basic skills of: scientific research and information management. scientific research of cultural phenomena and directing the results obtained in the practical sphere; critical attitude and forecasting in relation to cultural and artistic events and phenomena.

Information space as a basis for the formation of cultural analytics 4. Cultural analytics as a direction of modern research 5. Theoretical views of Lev Manovich and their practical implementation 6. General principles of cultural phenomenon analysis 7. Expert activity in the field of culture 8. Types of analytical works Part 2. Practice of implementing expert activity in cultural institutions 9. Internship at a cultural enterprise 10. Writing an internship report

Assessment methods and criteria
The final score (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) is a sum of points for semester work (minimum 48, maximum 80 points) and the final control work (minimum 12, maximum 20 points). Assessment of semester work: 1. Practical classes (oral answers, participation in discussions) - 24/ 40 points 2. Practical classes (internship in a cultural enterprise + report) - 12 / 20 points 3. Self-study N. 1: "Conducting and designing research by students in the in the form of an analytical note (on cultural issues of the student's choice)" - 6 / 10 points. 4. Self-study N. 2: "Expert opinion on contemporary cultural phenomena" - 6 / 10 points. All types of work for the semester have - a maximum of 80 points - a minimum of 48 points Final written test - 12 / 20 points.
