1. Before taking this course, students should know the history of European philosophy and world history. 2. Be able to carry out an independent analysis of the content of philosophical sources; apply modern methods of historical and philosophical research. 3. Possess basic skills of scientific research.

The overall grade for the semester consists of points obtained for class work (oral presentations, additions and participation in discussions at seminars) and for self-study (notes on texts), and a midterm test. Assessment of semester work: 1. Oral report, additions and participation in seminar discussions -28 / 44 points 2. Self-study (text summary) - 10 / 16 points 3. Intermediate control work -10 / 20 points All types of work for the semester have - a maximum of 80 points - a minimum of 48 points Final written test - 12 / 20 points
