To know: Subject, methods, theoretical foundations of research of civil service and public organisations in the field of culture The main issues of research on civil service and public organisations in the field of culture Concept, structure, system of civil service and public organisations in the field of culture Be able to: Demonstrate knowledge of specialised literature on research on public service and public organisations in the field of culture, analyse current trends in the field of culture Find explanations for current problems of the civil service and public organisations in the field of culture in Ukraine Communication: Use knowledge of foreign languages to analyse professional texts Present research results Autonomy and responsibility: To find and critically comprehend information sources on public service and public organisations in the field of culture

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prior to studying this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the cultural process; the main achievements of material and spiritual culture; the history of the formation and development of the cultural sphere, the peculiarities of the functioning of the cultural sphere in modern realities. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena and phenomena, cultural processes and events; have basic skills of scientific research and information management, use of foreign language professional cultural information sources. 3. Have basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting of cultural and ideological events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional cultural information sources.

Topic 1: Regulatory and legislative support for the activities of civil service and public organisations in the field of culture Topic 2. Main tasks of the civil service and public organisations in the field of culture Theme 3. State policy of development of civil service and public organisations in the field of culture Topic 4. Participation of public organisations in the implementation of state policy in the field of culture Theme 5. Public management and administration in the field of culture Theme 6. Problems of the civil service and public organisations in the field of culture Theme 7. Culture and trends in the decentralisation of power Theme 8: Informatisation of the cultural space in public administration

Assessment methods and criteria
The overall grade for the semester consists of the points obtained for classroom work (oral reports, supplementary reports and participation in seminar discussions) and for independent work (essays, notes on primary sources, analytical assignment, presentation of independent research). Assessment of semester work: 1. Oral report, supplementary materials and participation in seminar discussions - 15/20 points 2. Essay - 2/6 points. 3. Analytical task - 6/10 points 4. Presentation of independent research - 6/10 points 5. Summary of primary sources - 1/4 points 6. Written test work: PH - 6/10 points All types of work for the semester have - a maximum of 60 points - a minimum of 36 points The final assessment is in the form of an exam. Exam is in written form - 24/40 points
