To know: - Subject, methods, theoretical foundations of world politics research. - The main issues of the latest research on the place and role of Ukraine in world politics. - The concept, structure, organisation of the international and European security system. - The essence of Ukraine's European integration policy. - Challenges and threats to Ukraine. Be able to: - Demonstrate knowledge of specialised literature on world politics, analyse current trends in world politics. - Critically evaluate knowledge about the dynamics of the evolution of the post-bipolar world and Ukraine's place in it. Communication: - Use knowledge of foreign languages to analyse professional texts. - Demonstrate knowledge in a discussion format. Autonomy and responsibility: - Find and critically analyse scientific and journalistic texts. - Be responsible for the accuracy and ideological of scientific research.

1. Before taking this course, students should know the correlation between the categories of "international relations", "foreign policy", "international politics", and "world politics", the interpretation of the content of world politics in scientific works, the nature of interaction between the main actors of world politics, and the methods of of political science research. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information on the main actors of world politics; apply basic terms, categories and classifications of security concepts in the analysis of global problems; identify current trends in the evolution of the post-bipolar world, predict the prospects for their development. 3. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting of political, economic, cultural, ideological and security events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional political and informative sources.

Assessment of semester work: 1. Oral report, additions and participation in seminar discussions - 15-20 points 2. Essay - 2-6 points. 3. Analytical task - 6-10 points 4. Presentation of independent research - 6-10 points 5. Synopsis of primary sources - 1-4 points 6. Written test - 6-10 points The overall grade for the semester consists of the points obtained for classroom work (oral reports, additions and participation in seminar discussions) and for self-study (essay, summary of primary sources, analytical task, presentation of independent research). All types of work for the semester have - a maximum of 60 points - a minimum of 36 points The final assessment is in the form of an exam: Written exam - 24/40 points
