Learning outcomes
1. To apply the understanding of the nature and meaning of politics as a specific type of human activity and a special field of knowledge to solve complex problems of political science, including the development of ideas about politics and its modern interpretations, the peculiarities of the exercise of power in various political systems, their socio-economic, historical and sociocultural context. 3. Communicate freely orally and in writing in Ukrainian and English when discussing professional issues, research and innovations in the field of political science. 4. Make effective decisions on issues of politics, political science and related problems, including in difficult and unpredictable conditions; predict the development of political processes; determine the factors affecting them and the achievement of the set goals; analyze and compare alternatives; assess the risks and likely consequences of political decisions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the basics of political technologies; main types of political image; basics of practical political science. 2. To be able to collect and interpret information about political communication and the information space of politics; apply the main terms, categories and classifications of political science in the analysis of political phenomena and processes; identify modern trends in the development of political communication, forecast the prospects of their development, taking into account the peculiarities of the course of political processes in the conditions of informatization; 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, social events and phenomena; the use of foreign language professional political science informative sources.
Course content
The discipline "Public relations in the political sphere" introduces students to the basics of public relations, which are the basic form of organizing public communications in modern society. The historical development and stages of establishing relations with the public are revealed. The subject, tasks, theoretical foundations, methodologies, main directions and problems of modern relations with the public are defined. The basics of publicity and media relations are clarified. The basics of anti-crisis communications are considered, the main technologies for organizing responses in crisis situations are outlined. The main methods of interaction with the mass media are studied, the technology of writing and sending press releases is revealed. Sponsorship and fundraising are consistently considered as the main areas of public relations of non-profit organizations. Non-media technologies of political communication are considered as an alternative in effective information influence.
