To know: 1.1. the basic principles of language norms and follow them when using a foreign language in different functional styles of oral and written communication; 1.2. the key concepts of a foreign language and be able to use them in formal and informal communication; 1.3. stylistic features of writing essays, official documents (forms, questionnaires, etc.), notes requesting simple information of immediate importance; informal texts, etc; 1.4. lexical and grammatical material of the functional language within the scope of the course; 2.1 speak with some paraphrases on most topics encountered in the student's everyday life; 2.2. control a sufficiently wide lexical repertoire of functional speech, apply functional formulas in appropriate situations; 2.3. express their own point of view, feelings, attitudes, etc. and participate in conversations on various topics; 2.4. write an essay on a given topic, fill in official documents (forms, questionnaires, etc.).

Full-time form

1. To know the basic tense forms and grammatical structures of a foreign language and have a sufficient vocabulary; 2. To be able to express their thoughts in foreign language oral/written speech. The discipline is normative. Study groups are formed on the basis of the results of a level test, which is performed by students in the first classes.

The final grade for each content module is a weighted average of the grades for classroom, independent and control work, is 40% of the final score for the semester and has a maximum of 40 points. The resulting total number of points for the first semester is calculated as a simple cumulative total of the final marks for 2 content modules and the test, which is assessed with a maximum of 20 points, and amounts to a maximum of 100 points.
