Learning outcomes
To know:
definition and objectives of cultural project management;
structure of a cultural project;
features of cultural project organisation and implementation of its stages;
the importance of sociological research in creating a cultural project;
historical stages of formation of exhibition and exposition practice;
peculiarities of the work of museum institutions;
specifics of the functioning of cultural institutions, auctions, biennials;
the role of curation and art management.
Be able to:
apply the general principles of cultural management;
create their own cultural project;
act as a curator and art manager of exhibition projects;
determine the strategic goals of exhibition projects.
Communication:
work in small groups;
present their own exhibition and exposition projects.
Autonomy and responsibility:
adhere to the basic principles of copyright.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the course, students should:
know
the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process;
stages and specifics of the development of the artistic sphere;
cultural concepts and categories;
cultural theories and research methods.
be able to:
collect and interpret information about cultural phenomena and phenomena;
apply theoretical knowledge in practice;
predict the prospects for the development of cultural phenomena;
navigate the main stages and content specifics of exhibition and exposition activities;
analyse the principles of building expositions;
create own exhibition projects.
have:
basic skills of scientific research and information management;
skills of critical attitude and forecasting in relation to political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena;
skills of using foreign language professional cultural information sources.
Course content
The course covers the basics of theoretical understanding and practical implementation of cultural project management. The discipline summarises and systematises the concepts of:
management in the field of culture;
the originality and characteristics of a cultural project;
legislative policy of Ukraine in the field of culture;
specifics of creating a cultural project;
its resource provision;
ability to organise a project team;
engage sponsors and patrons in cooperation;
analyse the consequences of a cultural project.
Students are introduced to the history of the exhibition and exposition sector and the practice of organising exhibition events.
