1. To have the skills of critical thinking, to present their own thoughts in a clear way, to make their arguments. 2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. 16. To define, formulate and argue their own civic and professional position on topical social issues.

Full-time form

1. Successful completion of the course is based on knowledge of the following disciplines of the bachelor's degree as: "History of World Culture", "History of Ukrainian Culture", "Ethics", "Aesthetics", "Social Philosophy", "Sociology", etc. Students should know the basic philosophical concepts, categories and methods of socio-philosophical cognition. 2. Be able to work on the topics of socio-philosophical texts; apply basic concepts, categories in the analysis of socio-cultural phenomena and processes; identify current trends in the understanding and interpretation of social ethics, predict the prospects for its development, taking into account the peculiarities of modern social realities. 3. Possess basic skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting prospects for solving social problems of social functioning.

The discipline "Social Ethics" belongs to the list of elective disciplines and is taught in the 8th semester of the bachelor's degree. The discipline introduces students to the peculiarities of studying social ethics as a topical area of modern ethical research. The course defines the subject, objectives, theoretical foundations, methodology, main directions and issues of classical and modern research on social and ethical issues. The historical and theoretical features of the study, current problems of modern functioning and prospects for the development of social ethics are considered. Particular attention is paid to those aspects of modern social functioning that remain open for discussion.
