Learning outcomes
2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes. 6. To identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, to determine the degree of their relevance using different sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies. 13. To present knowledge about culture according to the specialization of representatives of various professional groups and students. 14. To conduct a public discussion and maintain a dialogue on Ukrainian culture with professionals and non-specialists. 16. To define, formulate and argue their own civic and professional position on topical social issues.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the main stages of the development of Ukrainian statehood, the key events of the history of the historical and cultural process in Ukraine, the main achievements of world material and spiritual culture. 2. To be able to analyze and interpret literature and reference materials on the historical and cultural development of Ukraine and other countries of the world at a basic level. 3. Possess basic critical thinking skills.
Course content
Topic 2. Normative and legal framework of the field of culture in Ukraine. Topic 3. Activities of central and local authorities and management of Ukraine in the field of culture. Topic 4. Financial and logistical support of the sphere of culture. Infrastructure of culture in Ukraine. Topic 5. Cultural and artistic education of independent Ukraine. Topic 6. Development of fine art and architecture. Topic 7. Development of audiovisual art and production. Topic 8. Development of musical culture and theater. Topic 9. Development of spiritual culture. Religious situation in independent Ukraine. Topic 10. Development of folk culture.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Work at seminar classes (oral survey): 42 points/25 points. 2. Express control (2 written papers): 20 points/12 points (10 points/6 points each). 3. Creative task (self-study): 18 points/11 points. 4. Final test (written): 20 points/12 points. Final assessment in the form of a credit
