2 To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 4To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. 5To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes. 6To identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, to determine the degree of their relevance using different sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies. 8 Interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) with using special literature and defined methods, to present reasoned conclusions about their content. 10 Recognize and classify different types of cultural products, determine their quality characteristics based on comprehensive analysis. 13 To present knowledge about culture in accordance with the specialization of representatives of various professional groups and students of education

Full-time form

1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the sociocultural process; main types of societies and methods of their research. 2. To be able to collect and interpret information about the processes taking place in society, the role of society in the context of culture, the specifics of socio-political; identify modern trends in the development of various societies; 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding socio-cultural events and phenomena; the use of foreign language professional sociological and cultural informative sources.

Lectures, seminars, self-study

1. Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: 18 / 30 points 2. Self-study (research of a work of art): 6 / 10 points 3. Test work: 12 / 20 points 4. Written exam: 24 / 40 points Final assessment in the form of exam: the final number of points in the course (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester and the exam. Examination assessment is in writing. The examination ticket consists of 2 questions, each of which is evaluated on a scale of 20 points, which gives a total of 40 points for the exam.
