Learning outcomes
1. To have the skills of critical thinking, to present their own thoughts in a clear way, to make their arguments. 2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. 5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes. 6. To identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, to determine the degree of their relevance using different sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students must know the basic stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic culturological teachings and methods of culturological research, basic culturological concepts and categories; ideas about the diversity of cultural achievements and values. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena, cultural processes and events; identify current trends in the coexistence of different cultures in the context of globalization and intercultural dialogue, predict the prospects for their development, taking into account the peculiarities of cultural processes in the context of globalization; apply modern methods in the process of understanding artistic phenomena. 3. Have basic skills in research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional culturological information sources.
Course content
Part of the course 1. The place and role of culture in the social process. The value nature of culture. Interaction of culture and personality. Features of functioning and reproduction of cultures. The problem of understanding as a fundamental problem of cultural and intercultural communication. Languages of different cultures as different visions of the world. "Truth" as a common understanding of the foundations of human existence. Intersubjectivity and interdependence of culture. Part 2. Intersubjectivity and intertextuality of culture. Local (historical-cultural) and universal (universal) aspects of intersubjectivity of culture and art. The relationship of these aspects in the processes of artistic creativity and perception of the work of art. The specifics of the intersubjective approach to the analysis of the work of art and interpretation of art. Intersubjective nature of artistic communication. Intertextuality and ways to increase the semantic potential of the work.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: 3/5 points 2. Analytical work on primary sources: 1/3 points 3. Presentation of self-study: 6/8 points 4. Final test in writing - 12/20 points Final assessment in the form of credit: the final number of points in the course (maximum 100 points) is determined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. Credit is set based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment activities.
