Learning outcomes
1. To have the skills of critical thinking, to present their own thoughts in a clear way, to make their arguments. 2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 3. To create logically and structurally organized texts on cultural studies, according to the specialization. 6. To identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, to determine the degree of their relevance using different sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies. 8. To interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, tо reasonably present conclusions regarding their content. 16. To define, formulate and argue their own civic and professional position on topical social issues.

Possess basic skills of scientific research, understand the essence of philosophical problems, topics, ideas, and be able to analyze philosophical and scientific texts.
Course content
The discipline introduces students of cultural studies to the specifics of philosophical comprehension of reality, to existing philosophical concepts that reveal the diversity of philosophical thinking, and creates conditions for the formation of students' worldview and methodological culture. To understand the essence of philosophical problems, topics, ideas and the ability to analyze philosophical and scientific texts.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral presentation, supplementary materials and participation in seminar discussions: 28/44 points 2. Independent work (essay): 2/6 points 3. Control work: 6/10 points The semester grade is formed by the points obtained by the student in the process of mastering the material from all parts of the discipline. The total semester grade consists of points obtained for classroom work (oral reports, supplements and participation in seminar discussions), independent work (essays) and tests.
