P06. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the geographical envelope and its components. P07. Apply models, methods and data of natural and social sciences, information technologies, etc. when studying the formation and development of objects and processes of the geographical envelope. P10. Analyze the composition and structure of natural and socio-geographic objects and systems (according to specialization) at different spatio-temporal levels. P14. Demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research of natural and socio-geographical objects, systems and processes in the geographic envelope under field and laboratory conditions. P15. Know and explain changes in the geographical envelope from the standpoint of the concept of sustainable development.

Full-time form

1) successful mastery of such educational disciplines as "Soil science", "Soil research", "Soil physics", "Soil chemistry", "Soil cover and land resources of the world", "Genesis and morphology of soils", "Methods of soil science research", " Soils of Ukraine"; 2) mastery of soil research methods; 3) skills in working with cartographic materials.

The educational discipline consists of two content modules. The first of them is dedicated to the study of soils and land resources, the problem of their protection and rational use for the territory of Polissia and Forest Steppe. The second module consists of two parts, the first reveals issues related to soils and land resources, problems of their protection and rational use for dry and wet steppe territory. The second part of this module examines the issues of genesis and typification of soils, rational use and protection of land resources of mountainous areas - Ukrainian Carpathians and Mountainous Crimea.
