Learning outcomes
Program learning outcomes PLO-1. Realize their rights and responsibilities as a member of society, to understand the values of civil society (free democracy) and the need for its sustainable (safe) development, the rule of law, human and civil rights and freedoms in Ukraine. PLO-2. Use and multiply moral, cultural, scientific values and achievements of society based on understanding the history and patterns of development of the subject area, its place in the general system of knowledge about nature and society and in the development of society, technology, use different types and forms of physical activity active recreation and healthy lifestyle. PLO-4. Fluent in the state language.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites and additional requirements: Requirements for choosing an academic discipline 1. Prior to studying this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; an understanding of the peculiarities and patterns of development of the history of domestic and foreign culture, the diversity of cultural achievements and values, including artistic ones. 2. Be able to collect and interpret information about cultural phenomena and phenomena, cultural processes and events; identify current trends in the coexistence of different cultures in the context of globalization and intercultural dialogue, predict the prospects for their development, taking into account the peculiarities of cultural processes in the context of globalization; analyze works of art with the allocation of their belonging to a certain era, style, genre, form and content, carry out their meaningful interpretation.
Course content
Content of the educational program: The discipline introduces students to the theoretical and methodological basis of knowledge about culture in the system of being, identifying the essence of culture in its existence, the processes of functioning of spiritual culture in modern society, the range of different options for studying cultures, the panorama of modern views on the essence of culture, reflecting the trends of cultural traditions. The main categories, concepts of the theory of culture, its structure and functions, typological, translational, semiotic structures of culture are defined.

Additions / participation in discussions 3 points - the addition is meaningful, thorough; 2 points - the addition is meaningful; 1 point - the addition does not significantly expand the discussion. 2. Independent work 1 15-11 points - a well-written paper; 10-1 points - the work has shortcomings. 3. Independent work 2 16-11 points - the student has full knowledge of the material; 10-7 points - the student has sufficient knowledge of the material; 6-1 points - the student has a general knowledge of the material. 4.
