Learning outcomes
Program learning outcomes PLO-5. Communicate freely in a foreign language within the limits of the needs of one's professional activity. PLO-13. To be able to use the historical experience of military and political strategies of foreign countries in order to solve national security problems. PLO-14. Be able to read and understand professional foreign language literature, using it in social and professional spheres, as well as demonstrate a culture of thinking and demonstrate skills in organizing cultural dialogue with foreign partners at the level necessary for professional activity. PLO-17. Be able to use the acquired knowledge regarding the security component of the foreign policy of Ukraine and other states.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites and additional requirements know: main approaches to the phenomenon of security, its relationship with the national security system; the foundations of the integration of the countries of the world and the main integration associations of the countries be able: distinguish global and national security phenomena; identify factors that allow classifying national interests in the foreign policy sphere; evaluate such social phenomena as "threat", "challenge" and "risk" when making management decisions regarding the security component of the foreign policy of foreign states in the field of national security;
Course content
Content of the educational program The discipline familiarizes students with the main norms of domestic and foreign policy and international relations of foreign states, in particular with the mechanisms and features of foreign policy implementation; the main subjects of international relations and international security; features of the transformation of the modern stage of international relations, etc. Special attention is paid to the security component of the foreign policy of European countries, namely: the European Union, as a subject of the system of international relations; the security component of the foreign policy of the countries of Western, Central and Eastern Europe; features of the transformation of the security component of the foreign policy of Ukraine, Georgia and the Republic of Moldova. Also, detailed attention is paid to the security component of the foreign policy of the countries of the regions of North and South America, in particular the security component of the foreign policy of Canada and the USA, the role of the policy of Latin American countries in the formation of the international security system, etc. The security component of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Southeast Asia is revealed.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Planned educational activities and teaching methods Lectures, workshops, independent work. Lectures take place in the classroom with the use of presentations and additional illustrative material. The workshops take place in classrooms, during the workshops the learning of the material takes place in the form of discussions (individual and group), discussions and analysis, game methods are used, and practical tasks are performed. The student's independent work consists in the systematic processing of materials proposed by the teacher. The learned material is subject to verification at seminar classes in the form of an oral survey. In addition, the results of independent processing of the material are checked during the writing of modular test papers. Missed classes are made up by the student completing additional tasks in the discipline.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level evaluation of the learned material: theoretical - 25% of the total grade and practical training (75% of the total grade). Semester evaluation (MAX: 60 points; MIN: 36 points): work in seminar classes; two modular test papers in the form of open questions, individual work. Final assessment (MAX: 40 points; MIN: 24 points): an exam in the form of a written work with tasks of various levels of difficulty. The final grade is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully evaluated results of learning during the semester (grades below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final grade) and the grade obtained during the exam. The maximum number of scores that can be received by a student is 100 points.
