Learning outcomes

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the foreign language program for general educational institutions of Ukraine and a sufficient level of formation of foreign language communicative competence in accordance with the State Standard of Basic and Comprehensive Secondary Education and All-European Recommendations on Language Education.
Course content
The discipline "Foreign language for professional purposes (English)" for students of the Bachelor's degree in the first-fourth years of study of the B1-B2 level of knowledge, 25 Military sciences, national security, state border security, specialty 256 National security (by individual areas of support and activities) is taught in the I-VII semesters in the amount of 510 hours. (17 ECTS credits), including: practical classes - 234 hours, independent work - 276 hours. The discipline ends in the II, IV, VI semesters with a credit test, in the I, III, V semesters - with a final control, in the VII semester - with an exam

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course provides the following forms of learning organization: practical classes with interactive teaching methods and independent work. The main types of work and the objects of semester control are: class work, writing an essay, presentations, short lexical and grammatical tests and a module test
Assessment methods and criteria
Credit test is evaluated with a maximum of 100 points, but is 20% of the final total amount of points for the semester and the final score is entered in the report card according to the 20-point system (credit test result), the teacher converts the grades from the 100-point system to the 20-point system and enters this score in the report card.
