P01. Collect, process and analyze information in the branches of the subject area of ​​geographical sciences. P06. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the geographical envelope and its components. P07. Apply models, methods and data of natural and social sciences, information technologies, etc. when studying the formation and development of objects and processes of the geographical envelope. P10. Analyze the composition and structure of natural and socio-geographic objects and systems (according to specialization) at different spatio-temporal levels. P14. Demonstrate the ability to conduct independent research of natural and socio-geographical objects, systems and processes in the geographic envelope under field and laboratory conditions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of such mandatory disciplines as "Geology", "Geomorphology", "Evolution of the Earth's biosphere", "Soil science" and "Methods of paleogeographic and geoarchaeological research"; 2) the ability to read and compile geological and geomorphological profiles of sections of Quaternary deposits, knowledge of the complex methods of paleogeographical and geoarchaeological research, mastering the basic initial methods of analytical paleogeographical research; 3) possession of elementary skills of field geological, paleogeographic and geoarchaeological research
Course content
The course includes two parts, the first of which is devoted to the issues of anthropogenic periodization, in particular, the study of global and regional scales of its periodization and their comparison with the periodization of the development of material cultures. Paleogeography of the Gelasian era, the Eopleistocene and the early Neopleistocene in the world and in Ukraine is also considered, namely the abiotic and biotic components of ancient natural systems, the main features and peculiarities of the development of the anthropological type of man and his material culture. The second part is devoted to the study of paleogeography of the middle and late Neopleistocene in the world and in Ukraine (abiotic and biotic components, main features and peculiarities of the development of man and his material cultures). The laws of the development of nature in anthropogeny, the peculiarities of their manifestation on the territory of Ukraine and their influence on the variability of material cultures are also considered.
