Learning outcomes
1. To know the essence of parliamentarism in accordance with the theoretical knowledge and traditions of parliamentary activity in different historical periods of the development of Western democracies and Ukrainian statehood
2. Be able to determine the trends in the formation and development of representative democracy in Ukraine during the period of independence, taking into account theoretical and practical knowledge about the essence of parliamentarism
3.Be able to determine the degree of effectiveness of representative democracy in Ukraine in accordance with the activities of the current Verkhovna Rada in Ukraine
4. To be able to independently outline the threats to the development of parliamentarism in Ukraine to determine ways to overcome them and to form scientifically based proposals for the effect forms of development of the pre-presidential democracy

1.Know the basics of the theory of public administration and representative democracy
2.Be able to analyze and summarize scientific literature on the subject of discipline
3.Have elementary skills in preparing analytical certificates on the activities of representative authorities in Ukraine.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Semester assessment: evaluation is carried out during the semester of all types of work:
surveys at seminars
conducting modular control works
carrying out the tasks of independent work,
performing and presenting an individual analytical task,
organizing and holding discussion round tables
organizing analytical work in small groups
organizing and holding a mini-conference
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - the results of training (knowledge 1), which is 25% of the total assessment for the semester and the assessment of practical training - the results of training (skills 2; communication 3.; autonomy 4.), which is 75% of the total assessment for the semester.
– semester assessment (MAC – 60 points / MIN – 36 points):
Re-laying semester control in order to improve positive assessment is not allowed.
– final assessment (MAC – 40 points / MIN – 24 points): the final assessment form is the exam.
– conclusion assessment: the conclusion assessment is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully evaluated results of training during the semester and the assessment received during the exam. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student is 100 points.
