Learning outcomes
Know the theoretical and methodological foundations and basic principles of public policy, regulatory and legal support of public authorities. Know the features of public policy in Ukraine and developed countries. Be able to analyze public policy in various fields. Be able to diagnose the internal and external environment of public policy, identify risks and opportunities. Be able to identify alternative solutions, evaluate options and choose the best option. Be able to determine the priorities of public policy development and ways to implement them, monitor and evaluate public policy. Ability to lead a discussion, substantiate their own opinions on the benefits and problematic aspects of public policy in Ukraine and the world. Justification of the need for change at each level of government. Substantiation of strategic and current goals of public policy implementation. Research of practical aspects of formation and implementation of public policy.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know: the basic principles of public policy, the basics of regulatory and legal support of public authorities; features of public policy in Ukraine; the process of implementing public policy; analysis of public policy implementation; monitoring and evaluation of public policy. 2. Be able to use analytical and statistical methods of information processing in the areas of public policy, performance indicators of public authorities, work with national and international databases. 3. Have the skills of analysis, synthesis, processing and visualization of statistical, sociological and other data, work with the legal framework, design and presentation of data using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.).
Course content
Theoretical and methodological bases of public policy, features of public policy in Ukraine and in developed countries are revealed. The technology of the public policy implementation process, the cycle of this process and its content, the organization of the analysis of public policy implementation, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of public policy are considered.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides a two-level assessment of mastered material, including assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.3), which is 25% of the total assessment for the semester and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1 -2.4; communication 3.1 - 3.2, autonomy 4.1 - 4.3), which is 75% of the total score for the semester. - semester assessment (MAX - 60 points / MIN - 36 points): 1. Oral interview, discussion (PH1; 2.1-2.4; 3) - 6 points / 4 points; 2. Modular test (2 MCR, 5 points max. Each) (PH 1; 2.1-2.4; 4) - 10 points / 6 points; 3. Individual analytical task (RN 3; 4) - 20 points / 12 points 4. Independent work (RN 1; 2; 3; 4) - 24 points / 14 points
