Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes To know: the subject, genesis in the heart of the philosophical tradition, theoretical originality, basic concepts and modern tasks of ethics as a science; basic interpretations of morality as a social phenomenon, its structure and social functions, and current moral challenges Be able to: demonstrate knowledge of the main sources of ethical thought and modern specialized publications on ethical issues; explain the moral problematic of social practice and the variability of ethical interpretations and approaches to moral conflicts in the relevant cultural tradition and current context; carry out an expert assessment of the motives, norms, value orientations of the real behavior of individuals in various forms of activity; solve complex tasks related to the verification of the results of existing ethical studies and real moral conflicts of social and cultural practices

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Prerequisites and additional requirements 1. Before starting this course, students should know the basic content from the courses "Ukrainian and foreign culture", "Philosophy", "History of religion", "Sociology", "Psychology" 2.To be able to collect and interpret information regarding moral conflicts and findings of ethically significant phenomena, events and cultural processes; apply basic terms, categories and ethical concepts in the analysis of socio-cultural processes; to find adequate answers to the modern challenges of coexistence in the conditions of complex social life, to take into account the ethical principles of the course of modern socio-political and cultural processes 3. To have elementary skills of detection and processing of theoretical and philosophical information; critical attitude and analysis to the phenomena of social and cultural practice; using foreign language professional informative sources.

Methods and criteria of assessment Assessment of semester work: Oral presentation, additions and participation in discussions at seminars: - 10 points 2. Independent work No. 1 (writing an essay on one's own assessment of the moral state of modern social life);– 5/10 Independent work No. 2 (comparative analysis of classical and non-classical ethics traditions) –– 5/10 points Independent work No. 3 (referencing articles on scientific ethical issues): 1 – 10/15 points 3. Control work: RN –- 10/15 points Final evaluation in the form of an exam: Written exam - 24 / 40 points
