Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To demonstrate an adequate level of mastery of national and foreign languages to perform written and spoken communication, namely in the situations of professional and academic communication; to present the results of their studies in these national and foreign languages. PLO 4. To assess and analyze critically vital social, individual and professional issues and offer tactics for their resolution, in difficult and unpredictable conditions, which require the application of new approaches and forecasting. PLO 5. To find optimal ways for effective interaction in the professional community and with representatives of other professional groups at various levels. PLO 21. To know the specifics of translator work in various fields (textual, media, audiovisual, web-space) and be able to use necessary tools and techniques.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully master the discipline, knowledge, practical skills and Spanish language skills at a level not lower than B2 are required; knowledge of the basics of communication theory; mastery of the basic terminological apparatus of linguistics. In addition, students should be familiar with the rules of functioning of language phenomena (grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, spelling), basic linguistic terms in Spanish and in their native language; have a basic understanding of pragmatics, communication theory, discourse and text analysis, knowledge of the basics of theoretical grammar, grammatical and lexical semantics.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to develop the skills and abilities of correct use of lexical and grammatical units in accordance with the communicative context (type of speech act, communicative situation, pragmatics, connotation, etc.). The course is designed to deepen and systematize and deepen students' knowledge of the structure, basic norms, rules and laws of the Spanish language from the point of view of its functioning in communicative contexts and involves the assimilation of the modern interpretation of the concept of discourse, text, pragmatics, semantics, communicative act, expansion of previously acquired knowledge of grammatical and lexical systems of languages ​​and the development of relevant competences and strategies for choosing optimal language means in a given communicative situation (lexemes, syntaxes, cliches, phrases, paraphrases, euphemisms, stylistically colored synonyms, etc.).

Evaluation criteria: oral answers, additions, participation in discussions at seminars, blitz-surveys (PH1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.2, 3.1) - max. 10 points; preparation of a list of communicatively relevant expressions according to the content of texts read, films watched, events attended (RN1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.2, 3.1, 4.1) - max. 20 points; performance of individual written works (RN1.1-1.3, 2.1-2.4, 3.1-3.2, 4.1) - max. 20 points; test (PH1.1-1.3, 2.2, 3.1) - max. 10 points.
