PRT 2. To know official and foreign languages on the sufficient level to realize both oral and written communication in professional and academic spheres; to present the results of students’ research by means of official and foreign languages. PRT 6. To use the knowledge about expressive, emotional and logical language means and speaking tactic to achieve pre-planned pragmatic effect and organize effective communication. PRT 10. To demonstrate in-depth command in the sphere of folklore studies, intercultural communication and foreign language.

Full-time form

The program is aimed at students, who have mastered the following educational disciplines: “Practical course of the English language”, “Communication strategies of the English language” and acquired B2-C1 level according to CEFR. The students should have appropriate communicative competencies, know inventory of modern linguistics, methods of linguistic analysis, system and structure of English as well as its structural levels and distinctive units.

The purpose of the discipline is further improvement of communicative skills. In addition, the course is aimed at development various competencies, i.e. sociocultural, linguocultural and ethnolinguistic. Moreover, the discipline is focused on the investigation of culture and its aspects as multi-faceted phenomena as well as approaches to define the term “culture” within cultural anthropology.

The students’ term assessment is the sum total of the points for their oral activity during the classes, creative tasks, presentations and projects, module tests as well as individual performance. The minimum score for the students to be assessed as “passed” is 60 points. The students, who didn’t succeed in getting at least 59 points, are assessed as “fail”. Consequently, they are obliged to retake the credit. Final term assessment is the credit.
