Learning outcomes
PRN 8. To evaluate historical heritage and the latest achievements of philological science, in particular folkloristics. PRN 11. Carry out a scientific analysis of folklore material, interpret and structure it taking into account classical and modern methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. PRN 16. Use specialized conceptual knowledge of folkloristics to solve complex problems and problems that require updating and integration of knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete or insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the course, master's students should know the theoretical foundations of folkloristics, ethnology, the main provisions of concepts, theories and teachings about traditional culture that form the basis of folklore studies, and understand the essence and specifics of the theoretical discourse of modern folkloristics and cultural anthropology around the phenomena of ethnoculture. To be able to organize the process of finding, reconstructing, and preserving the cultural heritage of the ethnic group and independently conduct research work in folklore, introducing the scientific and theoretical foundations of foreign and Ukrainian folklore science, and formulate and justify new ideas and concepts in a specific philological field. To have the methods of scientific analysis of folklore material taking into account classical and modern methodological principles; modern scientific terminological apparatus.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to provide a methodological synthesis of the phenomena of oral culture, the interaction of man and society, man and culture. Its subject is the study of research problems of modern scientific schools in folkloristics and cultural anthropology. Tasks of the discipline: mastering the current search methods in modeling, description and forecasting of various folklore phenomena. Abstract. The educational discipline is aimed at forming the professional skills of a scientist-researcher in students; critical analysis of modern theories and methods related to the study of traditional culture, thanks to which the entire process of socio-cultural development acquires a systematic and orderly character. Its subject is the study of actual problems of the theory and practice of creating research projects in the field of folklore. The task of the discipline: to acquire basic knowledge and master the skills of independent scientific research using innovative technologies.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. The first part of the course is "Cultural anthropology as a methodological synthesis of the systematic description of the phenomena of ethnic culture, the collective interaction of man and society, man and culture." The second part of the course is "Ethnicity, ethnicity, culture in fundamental ethnological concepts, basic theories and methodological approaches." Forms of education: lectures, seminars, scientific seminar, independent work. Throughout the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, seminar classes are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, supplement, report at a scientific seminar, blitz survey, participation in discussions at lectures and seminar classes, intermediate control test, credit) . A scientific seminar is held no later than the last lecture week, at which students present an independently prepared scientific report on one of the topical problems of modern folkloristics.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility - 60% of the overall assessment . Assessment of semester work: oral answer, additions, participation in discussions at lectures and seminars, blitz survey, intermediate control test: 25/45 points. Scientific seminar presentation of a scientific report: 11/15 b. The overall grade for the semester consists of the points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, blitz surveys, intermediate control tests, presentation of a scientific report) and for independent work (preparation reports).
