Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Confidently speak the state, Turkish, a second Turkic language and English for written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present the results of their research in the state, Turkish and English. PLO 6. To apply knowledge of expressive, emotional, logical means of language and speech techniques to achieve the planned pragmatic result and organize successful communication. PLO 14. Create, analyze and edit texts of different styles and genres.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students must have skills in scientific research and information management; critical attitude to the analyzed language structures. The discipline "Fundamentals of a Second Oriental Language for Scientific Purposes" is a part of the cycle of professional training of specialists of the master's degree and involves improving the skills of selecting research approaches and methods for analyzing specific linguistic or literary material, using a second oriental language in scientific research.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to provide students of Turkic studies with basic knowledge of the Persian language, namely: to teach Persian phonetics, develop reading and writing skills, introduce the basics of normative grammar, provide a basic vocabulary, thereby creating a basis sufficient for a) understanding simple Persian texts; b) developing basic speech skills; c) applying the acquired knowledge in professional activities, including for scientific purposes.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline involves only practical classes aimed at developing students' phonetic, lexical and grammatical skills in the process of active work in the classroom. The control of students' mastery of lexical and grammatical material is carried out through their oral questioning and the organization of written assignments, tests, lexical dictations, independent and module tests. Homework, translation exercises, and writing according to a model are required.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge), which accounts for 40% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills), which accounts for 60% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: 1. Written assignments: 12 - 20 points. 2. Oral response: 12 - 20 points. 3. Module tests №1 and №2: 12 - 20 points. 4. Final module test: 12 - 20 points. 5. Credit: 14 - 20 points.
