Learning outcomes
PLO 7. Analyze, compare and classify different trends and schools in Turkish linguistics and Turkic literature.
PLO 8. Evaluate the historical achievements and latest achievements of philological science.
PLO 11. Carry out scientific analysis of linguistic and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the history of Turkish linguistics; to be able to analyze linguistic texts and extract the necessary information from them; to compare different discourse directions, to be able to express and justify one's position on controversial positions or concepts.
Course content
The discipline "Modern Discourse Studies of Turkey" is an elective component of the educational and scientific program "Oriental Philology, Western European Language and Translation: Turkish Language and Literature"; level of higher education: second (III semester; 90 hours in total, including 12 hours of lectures, 10 hours of seminars and 68 hours of independent work).
The program of the discipline consists of 2 content modules. Training is conducted in the form of lectures and seminars. The discipline ends with an exam.

Assessment methods and criteria
The semester final grade is formed by the points obtained by the student during the semester (semesters - if there are 2 parts) and the points obtained at the exam, the maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) - semester control and 40 points (40%) - exam).
Assessment of semester work:
1. Answer at the seminar: 10-15 points.
2. Supplements: 2-5 points.
3. Modular control work: 6-10 points.
4. Exam: 24 - 40 points.
