Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know: - successful mastery of professional disciplines during the first year of master's studies; - knowledge of syntactic transformations when translating into/from Crimean Tatar language(s). Be able to: - use basic and professionally oriented knowledge of the basics of philology, history, sociology and cultural studies; - apply the acquired knowledge in practice. Have basic skills: - Cognitive and professional activities; - culture of thinking, its general laws.
Course content
To familiarize students with the main provisions of conference interpreting. To teach students to identify and navigate the main stages of preparation for conference interpretation and technical equipment checking on the eve of the event. One of the aspects of the course objective is to demonstrate various practical aspects of coordinating the work of interpreters during interpretation, including the specifics of communication with speakers and ethical aspects of work. The aim of this course is to provide students with the professional competence to carry out translation activities in the field of scientific and socio-political conferences.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the material learned, in particular, the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes, which accounts for 30% of the total grade, and the assessment of practical training, which accounts for 70% of the total grade. Assessment of semester work: Part 1: Module 1: 1. Work in practical classes (oral answer): 6 - 9 points. 2. Oral commentary and analysis of simultaneous interpretation of a conference report: 12 - 20 points. 3. Module test: 10 - 20 points. Part 2: Module 2: 1. Work in practical classes (oral answer): 10 - 15 points. 2. Consecutive translation of a report on a philological topic: 12 - 16 points.
