Learning outcomes
PLO (Program learning outcomes) 1. To evaluate one's own educational, scientific and professional activities, to build and to implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 2. To be confident using state language as well as English and classical languages for written and oral communication, in situations of professional and scientific communication, inter alia; to present research results in state, English and classical languages. PLO 4. To evaluate and to critically analyze the most socially, personally and professionally significant problems, to propose ways to solve them in difficult and unpredictable circumstances, which requires the use of new approaches and forecasting. PLO 5. To get optimal ways of effective interaction in the professional team and with members of other professional groups of different levels.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know: theoretical essentials of studies in regard to philological disciplines of the Master’s degree: objectives, content, approaches, methods, means, forms of organization of the learning process; forms, methods and means of diagnostics of the students’ achievements. 2. To be able to: create an effective process of study in regard to philological disciplines of the Master’s degree according to the tasks and conditions of studies; use the new methods, technologies of studies of the philological disciplines; technologies in diagnostics of student’s knowledge, skills and competences; analyze the SMC of different disciplines in order to their rational use; to select the language/literature resources, means of studies of the professional disciplines. 3. To have the elementary skills: to apply the methodical techniques while studying the philological disciplines and systemic quality diagnostics of the knowledge, skills and competences.
Course content
Objectives of the discipline (assistant practice) – to form the competences in planning, organization, realization and control of the learning process of philological disciplines at universities; to prepare the postgraduates for teaching at universities. Assistant practice – is a complex process and a component of the Master’s programme in specialty 035 «Philology». Assistant pedagogical practice is aimed at providing the professional teaching skills and competences at organization of the learning process at universities. Assistant practice contributes to the development of professional awareness, cultural communication; to the formation of theoretical, practical and self-motivation components of postgraduate’s competence. Assistant practice develops the teaching skills and helps to form the individual teaching style.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Practice To develop the individual schedule of practical lessons To develop lesson plans To give the sample lessons and final practical lessons To complete the reporting documents. To defend the reporting documents. To take part in the discussion of the results.
Assessment methods and criteria
Each lesson is evaluated in 6 points. Then the coefficient is calculated on the basis that the maximum number of points should be 84. Development of the final lesson plans (2 lessons, 6 points for each one). Defense of the reporting documents. Participation in the discussion of the results (4 points maximum). All types of activities for the semester are estimated as follows: ● 100 points maximum, ● 60 points minimum.
