PLO 2. To be confident using state language as well as English and classical languages for written and oral communication, in situations of professional and scientific communication, inter alia; to present research results in state, English and classical languages. PLO 6. To apply knowledge about expressive, emotional, logical language means and speech technique for the planned pragmatic result achieving and for the successful communication organizing. PLO 10. To сollect and to systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, to interpret and to translate texts of various styles and genres in classical and English languages. PLO 15. To сhoose optimal research approaches and methods for the analysis of specific linguistic or literary material.

Full-time form

1) successful mastering of the disciplines "Latin language", "History of the Latin language", "Latin medieval studies in the European space"; 2) knowledge of the periodization in the development of Latin language, the ways of penetration of the Latin language on the Ukrainian and related territories. 3) mastering skills of morphemic, morphological and syntactic analysis of Latin language units and skills of lexical, etymological, historical, cultural analysis and commentary of Latin language, written in Ukrainian or related territories.

Objectives of the discipline – training of highly qualified specialists in professional academic research of medieval Latin texts, written in Ukrainian and related territories. The subject of the discipline is Medieval Latin in Ukraine as a complex of texts, written in Ukrainian version of Latin language.

The control of knowledge is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides a two-level assessment of the material which was studied, in particular the assessment of theoretical training — learning results (knowledge 1.1 - 1.10), which is 40% of the total scores, and the assessment of practical training — learning results (skills 2.1- 2.4); (communication 3.1-3.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.5), which is 60% of the total scores. The scores for the semester comprise the points for the mastering of the materials for the entire course. The total score for the semester consists of the points for the classwork (which provides for independent work with the theoretical materials for the classwork: oral answers, tests, giving presentations, demonstrating projects) and independent work (preparing presentations and projects). All types of activities for the semester are estimated as follows: 60 points maximum, 36 points minimum.
