PRN2. Confidently possess the state and foreign (Belarusian, English, Czech/Croatian) languages ​​for the implementation of written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present research results in national and foreign languages. PRN7. To analyze, compare and classify different trends and schools in Slavic (Belarusian), Ukrainian and English linguistics. PRN9. To characterize the theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, basic concepts, etc.). PRN11, PRN18. Prerequisites and co-requisites
To know the basics of propaedeutic courses of the humanitarian cycle, the main provisions of the history and historical grammar of the Ukrainian and Belarusian languages, the role of lexical borrowings in the functioning of the Ukrainian literary language, current trends in the development of modern linguistic thought. Be able to navigate the functional and territorial distribution of the lexical composition of the Ukrainian language, collect, analyze and interpret information about the origin of language phenomena and phenomena, plan and evaluate one's own work; use interactive and multimedia tools in practical cognitive activities. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources; work with scientific texts; production of complex oral and written messages.
Course content
The discipline belongs to the research component of the OP. The purpose and task of the subject "Role of Slavic languages ​​in the formation of the Ukrainian language" is to provide Belarusian students with systematic knowledge about the origin, ways of borrowing and chronological stages of the formation of the lexical and phraseological composition of the modern Ukrainian literary language; to teach students to apply in practice the principles of etymological analysis of the lexicon of Slavic languages ​​in order to form professional competences of future Slavists capable of solving complex specialized tasks, conducting analytical research and developing language policy strategies. The discipline consists of two modules. Classes are held in the form of lectures and practical classes using interactive teaching methods. The discipline ends with a test.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out according to the types of work and the form of control: answer to the practical lesson (7/10 points), report-analysis of scientific literature (4/10 points), essay / presentation (5/10 points), modular control work (5/10 p.). The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, written works, defense of the presentation) and for independent work (preparation of an abstract / presentation). The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who scored the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive - "enrolled"
